The province of Albay tourism sells an outdoor adventure with a glimpse of the majestic Mt. Mayon. Don't leave what's right in front of you. Leave the road and take the trail.
This fun adventure took us half-day as we cross over rivers and ash fields with our great reliable bikes. It starts in Cagsawa Ruins and ends in the fields close to Mt.Mayon. I also recommend our guide from an accredited ATV operator in Albay. He was also cautious so he was the one taking magnificent GoPro pictures.
What awaits at the end of the track is a wide land covered by lahar but its surrounding landscape is declared a national park. If you also like to experience this kind of fun, I recommend Mayon SkyDrive ATV because it is the operator that is accredited by Department of Tourism Albay.
Mt. Mayon is the best mountain that I have seen from my airplane seat for its perfect cone is in symmetry with the lush fields below. People can also enjoy the scenic view of Mt.Mayon in Cagsawa Ruins Park. Another well-maintained park to wonder is in Lignon Hill.
The world's perfect cone-shaped volcano got its name from Princess Magayon the beautiful daughter of Rajah Makusog. Folklore has it that the death of the beautiful woman resulted in the creation of Mayon Volcano while the floating clouds are symbolic of the spirit of Daragang's lover.
When in Albay we also feast on iconic Bicolano dish, laing which is made of dried gabi leaves and coconut milk. Another unique dessert to try is sili-ice cream.
