My Sweet Escape to Dumaguete City

Dumaguete city is one of my favorite go to destinations because of Sans Rival Cakes and Pastries. If you desire for cakes checkout their menu and of course Sans Rival, a frozen layered cake consists of cashew meringue and buttercream. Lakawon Island: Negros Occidental’s Vacation Spot

Have you heard of Lakawon? This banana-shaped island on the seas of Western Visayas has been developed to become the small Ibiza of the Philippines.  The resort claims to have the biggest  Tawhaii floating bar in Asia. Your next vacation spot could be right on this quickly becoming resort destination in the province of Negros Occidental. The island got its name because during low tide you can just walk from the port to the island. To walk in the local language is  lakaw,  hence the name of the island Lakawon .   If you are coming from Bacolod , ride a van or bus bound for Cadiz City at the Ceres Bus Terminal of Bacolod.
