About me

Hello, my name is  Lylinette and I am the person behind this blog.  I have a full-time job as a Software Quality Engineer for a globally known company on weekdays and I created this blog to know me, my hobbies, my interests, and my travel stories.  To know me professionally, please click this page to redirect you to my LinkedIn page: Lylinette Encorporado

I came from a family of business-minded people and starting a small-scale business mainly interests me. My parents own a stall in our local market wherein small farmers sell their yield crops, and aside from that they also sell a variety of goods to consumers in our locality. My eldest sister who is now a high school principal owns a sand and gravel business. She achieved her Master's Degree in Physics from a premier state university in our country, the University of the Philippines. My other sibling who is now working in Australia also owns a sari-sari store business in her home. She is an accountant by profession and has worked under the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue. Right now I am interested to hear successful stories of prominent people published in Strait Times or Times magazine. I listen to the speeches of Jack Ma, the CEO and founder of Alibaba.

When I was in high school I was the associate editor in chief of our school publication and printed news, feature, sports and editorial articles. I represented Cebu Province for Copyreading and Headline writing during a regional press conference.

Aside from being business-minded and savvy to know the first thing about technology because of the nature of my job, I am into travel and decided to become a travel bee so this blog was born.

It was my friends who introduced me to travel. I was able to savor international and local cuisines. Every year, I see to it that I will go to a place that I have never been and I would love to have that opportunity to travel with you. Join me as I wander the 7,107 islands of the Philippines and hopefully see some parts of the world too.

Aside from traveling, I also practice yoga.  When stressed, I hum and sing. If we share the same interests, you have come to the right page. In addition if you want to hear me make music, here is a link to my sound box.
Don't forget to add me as a friend and enjoy! 😊

Best of Camiguin

I am always in awe with God's marvels so I am writing again another natural gem in my country, the island of Camiguin. This is a volcanic island in Northern Mindanao that is bestowed with rich natural pleasures for its waterfalls, hot springs and island beach destinations.  Katibawasan Falls There are direct domestic flights from international airports in our country such as Manila International Airport and Mactan Cebu International Airport to the "Island of Fire". This island is also a boat ride away from Cebu nautical ports. First hot spring is "Ardent Hotspring". What awaits visitors is a tranquil experience because of its thermal water . It sits directly at the foot of Mt.Hibok-Hibok and is surrounded by lush forests. Another tourist destination is Mambukal which is made up of three sulfur pools and two swimming pools .  Ardent Hotspring Camiguin is also rich in waterfall destinations. Among these waterfalls I personally witness "Katibawasan Falls...

Short weekend getaway in Samal Island

Samal island is one of the favorite tourist attractions in the Philippines. I have known since I was a kid that Davao City takes it pride in producing durian fruits and candies. Francisco Bangoy International Airport is domestically accessible within key cities of Manila, Clark, Palawan, Caticlan, Iloilo, Cebu, Bacolod or Zamboanga.  Davao City is the safest metropolis in the country and the gateway to other beautiful destinations in the land of promise. In Magsaysay Park, you can buy durian, pomelo, mangosteen and marang. My message to UP students is to stop spreading rumors and nonsense memes that lead nowhere for wellness sake.  durian park There are available tour packages if you want to view the breathtaking scenic overview of Mt.Apo and revisit our country's history. It is the 24th highest peak on Earth, also known as the father of Philippine mountains. A merry park to visit in Davao City is Camp William. You can also visit People's park and the Davao City Museum.  ...

APO Island Adventure

Apo Island is a volcanic island on the coast of Southern Negros and a preserved marine sanctuary founded by the people living in the island with the help of a professor from Silliman University, a private research university in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. A successful marine community based sanctuary and famous for its numerous sea turtles and rich underwater life. For those who want to go this turtle island, continue reading my blog post. Whether you're a diver or a snorkeler, here are some underwater adventure facts. (c) Keila Verano Apo island is not a nesting ground but a feeding ground for female turtles.  You can distinguish a male turtle from a female turtle by its tails. Male turtles have long tails like a wizard while female turtles have very small tails. A home to over 650 documented fish species and estimated to have over 400 species of corals. From Dumaguete City, we took an easy ride going to Bayawan and drop at Malatapay market in Zam...
