That Island Called Bantayan

Since we were not able to check in for our flight to Coron, lover and I decided to go to a paradise that's waiting up north of Cebu, Bantayan Island. Bantayan island is composed of these three municipalities: Madridejos, Bantayan and Sta.Fe. The municipality of Sta.Fe boasts a shoreline of pure white sand, beautiful island destinations and one unique island experience.

From Mactan Cebu International Airport, we headed to Cebu North Bus Terminal where we can find the buses and vans that will take us to Hagnaya. From Hagnaya Port, we rode on the RORO vessel for Sta. Fe. 

Upon arriving at Sta.Fe, environmental fees are collected. There are a lot of accomodations and beach resorts in the island. If you're a backpacker, you can choose to stay at 5Pearls. You can contact the lodge at 09495694082.

Short weekend getaway in Samal Island

Samal island is one of the favorite tourist attractions in the Philippines. I have known since I was a kid that Davao City takes it pride in producing durian fruits and candies. Dining in at Gustoso Pizza Shop

When I am in my hometown  Gustoso pizza and pasta serves its customers with authentic pasta dishes.  A pinch of bite of their carbonara, spaghetti, and benne is flavorful. Their boxes of delightful pizza flavors vary. I am loyal to their Hawaiian pizza.  For those who want a decent meal I must say that their pork chicken dishes are satisfying. It's atmosphere is nostalgic. Dining in with friends is fun. Taking pictures of our food is happiness. When I am in our province, I sleep before 10:00pm. The environment is not stressful unlike the big challenge of the city life which is the long commute because of traffic. I care about my mental health so I am taking it into consideration living in one of the municipalities of South Cebu cause I get close to nature.
